Non-keratinized stratified squamous epithelium → protective, found in oral cavity, esophagus, anal canal.
Simple columnar epithelium → stomach, small intestine (Duodenum), and colon.
Cuboidal epithelial cells → Type II pneumocytes (produce surfactant).
Non-ciliated squamous cells → Type I pneumocytes (gas exchange).
